Howard and Deb met in February, 1981 in Mankato, Minnesota at the rock and roll bar Sneaky Pete's when he was playing with the Low Rider band out of La Crosse. After being friends for six years, they got engaged in 1987, and eventually married in 1998. Like Howard says, "The family that plays together, stays together."
